Ted Kennedy's story told by his son

"When I was 12 years old I was diagnosed with bone cancer and a few months after I lost my leg, there was a heavy snowfall over my childhood home outside of Washington, D.C. My father went to the garage to get the old Flexible Flyer and asked me if I wanted to go sledding down the steep driveway. I was trying to get used to my new artificial leg and the hill was covered with ice and snow and it wasn't easy for me to walk ... As I struggled to walk, I slipped and I fell on the ice and I started to cry and I said, 'I can't do this.' I said, 'I'll never be able to climb that hill.' And he lifted me in his strong, gentle arms and said something I'll never forget. He said, 'I know you'll do it. There is nothing you can't do. We're going to climb that hill together, even if it takes us all day.'

"Sure enough, he held me around my waist and we slowly made it to the top, and, you know, at age 12, losing a leg pretty much seems like the end of the world, but as I climbed onto his back and we flew down the hill that day I knew he was right. I knew I was going to be OK. You see, my father taught me that even our most profound losses are survivable.''

(There are two types of courage:)
One man's courage is to show his bravery and never retreat,
he will lose his life eventually.
Another man's courage comes from daring not to show bravery,
he will save his life and fight another day.【1】

Of these two, when is it good and when is it bad? and what is the truth?
If what is unfavorable to God is yet to be known,
even the Godly man has a hard time to choose.

The laws of God is as follows:
You don't have to confront others to win;
you don't have to say anything to be heard;
you don't have to call others (to join you) and they will follow nevertheless;
just relax and be comfortable with the facts
and you will have wisdom you need.

For the meshes of God's net are loose indeed,
yet no one ever escape
His judgment when time is up.

John Adams' best speech

The founding father's speech about "Liberty" (from HBO series "John Adams"):

Let it be known, that British liberties are not the grants of the princes and parliaments. That many of our rights are inherent and essential, agreed on as maxim and established as preliminaries, even before parliaments existed.

We have a right to them, derived from our Maker. Our forefathers have earned and bought liberties for us at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasures, and their blood.

Liberty is not built on the doctrines that a few nobles have a right to inherit the earth.

NO, NO!

It stands on this principle that the meanest and lowest of the people are, by the unalterable indefeasible laws of God and nature, as well entitled to the benefits of the air to breathe, the food to eat, and cloth to wear, as the nobles or the king.

That is liberty, and liberty will reign in America!

John Adams, Second President of the USA
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." [October 11, 1798]

the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything."
